Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

ThingsDesk Studio ("we") takes user privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the ThingsDesk desktop app, our website, and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the rights you have over your personal data. Please read this policy carefully before using the Service.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with a stable and secure service, we collect the following information within necessary limits:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, avatar, and a unique identifier issued by the authentication service.
  • Device & Usage Data: Operating system type and version, app version, language preferences, device model, crash logs, and anonymized usage statistics.
  • User Content: Desktop widgets, animation assets, themes, and personalizations you create, upload, or save within the app.
  • Subscription & Transaction Records: Subscription status, validity period, and purchase receipts. Specific payment details (such as card numbers) are handled by Apple, Google Play, or third-party payment processors — we do not store them.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain core service functionality, including account sign-in, configuration sync, and subscription management.
  • Improve product experience, fix issues, and analyze overall usage trends (based on aggregated or anonymized data).
  • Send you service-related notifications, security alerts, or important change notices when necessary.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, infringement, and other violations of our Terms of Service.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share necessary information with third parties only in limited circumstances:

  • With service providers bound by confidentiality agreements who act on our behalf, such as cloud storage, authentication, crash analytics, and payment processing.
  • When required by law or in response to lawful requests from government authorities.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to the same protections described in this policy, with notice to you.
  • With your explicit prior consent in other circumstances.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by us or our cloud service partners, transmitted with HTTPS/TLS encryption. We apply a minimum-access principle to production environments and retain account and content data for a reasonable period; when no longer needed to provide the service, we will delete or anonymize it as required by law.

5. Your Rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may at any time:

  • Access and correct your account information;
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data;
  • Export content you created within the service;
  • Withdraw specific authorizations you previously granted us.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us through the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website and sign-in pages may use essential cookies and local storage to maintain login state, remember preferences, and prevent security risks. You can manage or clear this data through your browser settings, though doing so may affect some functionality.

7. Third-Party Services

The service relies on the following third-party services to deliver full functionality, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Google Identity / Firebase Authentication (authentication)
  • Google Cloud / Firebase (data storage and logging)
  • Apple App Store, Google Play, or other channels for in-app purchases and subscriptions

8. Children's Privacy

This service is not designed for children under 14. We do not intentionally collect personal information from such users. If you discover that a minor has used this service without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly take steps to delete the relevant data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically in response to business changes or legal requirements. Any material changes will be communicated prominently within the app or on the website; your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
